Ana Nicholls set up the Economist Intelligence Unit's Industry Briefing services and now oversees our coverage of the automotive, consumer goods and retail, and healthcare sectors, helped by a team of country and industry analysts. She has worked as a journalist for 20 years, covering a variety of business sectors, as well as reporting on economic development and management of healthcare and education systems. She spent five years editing business magazines for EMAP Business Communications in London before moving to Lithuania to work as an editor for the United Nations. She subsequently spent five years in Vienna reporting on the transition process in Eastern Europe for the Economist Group, before moving to the Economist Intelligence Unit's London office in 2002.. Ana has a BA and MA in English from Trinity College, Cambridge.
