As the Economist Intelligence Unit's senior analyst covering South Asia, Anjalika Bardalai leads the company's political and economic analysis and forecasting for India and Pakistan.
Anjalika has given numerous presentations for clients, and has spoken at conferences on four continents. She has also provided commentary on South Asia for the BBC, CNN International and CNBC, among others, and has been quoted in international print media.
In addition to her core duties as South Asia analyst, Anjalika is the manager of Country Reports, the Economist Intelligence Unit's flagship report, and is also responsible for producing Country by Country, the company's annual forecasting guide. Prior to joining the company's London headquarters in 2007, she worked in the New York office managing Country Finance, which covers financial institutions and financing methods in 45 countries.
