David Line produces and edits industry and management-related research papers in Japan and north Asia and presents Economist Intelligence Unit analysis on industry and management trends to a variety of corporate audiences. He previously worked for the Economist Intelligence Unit as an editor for the daily ViewsWire service, writing macroeconomic and political news analysis on Asia. Before joining the Economist Intelligence Unit, David was chief editor for four years at the research firm Asia Intelligence, where he edited weekly and monthly analytical publications and gave briefings on Asian political and economic affairs to the media, businesses and diplomatic personnel. David studied history at Oxford University and holds a Masters degree in Japanese Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.
