Federico Barriga is a member of the Economist Intelligence Unit's team of Latin American analysts. Based in London, Federico has been responsible for the coverage of a wide range of countries in the region (including Ecuador, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Puerto Rico and Venezuela). Before joining The Economist Group he was a research fellow at OPEC's energy and environment department. Federico has an MA in International Relations and a BA in politics and economics.
