Fiona Mackie is the Economist Intelligence Unit’s expert on the Mercosur countries, particularly Argentina and Uruguay. She has covered most of the region's major economies and subregions, and has a strong background in Mexico, Venezuela and the Caribbean. Fiona has a BA in political science with focus on International Relations from the University of Chicago. Fiona frequently represents the company in the media, with clients and at conferences. She has presented at conferences at Chatham House, Canning House (the main Latin American association in the UK), the UK Foreign Office, and at Economist Conferences events.
