Background: Manoj Vohra is responsible for leading the Economist Intelligence Unit’s country and economic research initiatives in Asia. Working with an extensive network of analysts, specialists and contributors, Mr Vohra provides research-based advice to clients, including private corporations, governments and NGOs, across a broad range of sectors and issues.

An economist by training, Mr Vohra has several years of experience in advising large private corporations and governments on various aspects of the operating environment in Asia and other emerging economies. He also conducts market size and growth assessments across a broad range of sectors, and analyses regulatory developments. Previously, Mr Vohra worked for one of India’s leading media groups as the national head of research and advisory services.

He frequently chairs and speaks at conferences and seminars. Mr Vohra is regularly interviewed and quoted on regional and global economic, business and political issues by print and electronic media. He also delivers lectures at leading management institutes.

He has a bachelor’s degree in Physics, and a master’s degree in Business Economics from the University of Delhi. He is also a qualified lecturer in Business Economics. Mr Vohra is currently based in Singapore.
