Business risk in South-east Asia.
Nick has worked at the Economist Intelligence Unit since 2008. He has recently returned to London after a two-year posting in China. Nick specialises in politics and business risk in South-east Asia, especially Indonesia. He also writes about Asia for the Economist website.
Nick previously headed the Asia editorial team at a publisher of country risk analysis; worked in Singapore as the South-east Asia analyst for a leading risk consultancy; and in Nepal as a freelance journalist, writing for the International Herald Tribune and the Far Eastern Economic Review, among other publications. He also co-authored the Rough Guide to Southeast Asia on a Budget, writing chapters on Java and Sumatra.
Nick has a first-class BSc in International History and a MSc in International Relations, both from the London School of Economics.
