Vanesa Sanchez joined the Economist Intelligence Unit’s Americas team in 2007. Recent projects include an index of the business environment for microfinance in 55 countries; an index evaluating the investment environment for private-public partnerships in infrastructure in 19 Latin American economies; a global diversity and inclusion Index for 47 countries around the globe; and data collection and scoping for regional macroeconomic and human resources indicators in emerging economies. Since joining the Economist Intelligence Unit, she has also implemented and managed custom research programmes and white papers on global migration issues (with a focus on India and the Arabian Gulf).
Prior to joining the Economist Intelligence Unit, Vanesa worked for a financial services consultancy, specialising in stock exchange operations and regulation. Vanesa has a BS in the Science of Economics from the Wharton School of Business and a BA in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
